How to apply for your Director ID

The ATO is implementing a Modernising Business Registers (MBR) program. The MBR program will establish the new Australian Business Registry Services (ABRS), which will combine ASIC and ABR registers in one place. As part of this, the ABRS has introduced the requirement for all directors to have a Director ID. A Director ID is a unique identifier that a director will apply for once and keep forever.
