Celebrating Rohila Rahimi being promoted to Principal
We love seeing Hivesters build their careers with us at Hive, so we are absolutely thrilled to celebrate Rohila Rahimi’s promotion to Principal from 1 July 2025.

Ro's journey with us started in 2015, shortly after Hive was founded, when she was on the lookout for a firm doing things differently. ‘When I joined Hive (nearly) ten years ago, the idea of working remotely in private practice and not time recording was almost unheard of. Hive’s courage to drive change in the legal industry has not only provided me with an incredibly inspiring environment to grow professionally, but also a truly supportive culture that allows me the flexibility to choose how I spend the hours in my day. It is wonderful to see the vision that Hive’s founders set out with being realised and continuing to grow in new and exciting ways. Being part of that journey, and now part of the leadership team helping to carry it forward, is incredibly humbling’ says Ro.
Initially playing an important role in several significant capital markets and M&A transactions, she won recognition in Legal 500 early in her career as an Associate. Ro now has an impressive legal skill-set which spans across energy matters, corporate, general commercial, contracting and projects. Her specialist expertise in electricity, gas, energy retail and renewable energy sees her assisting several major players in the Australian energy sector. In Ro’s words, ‘It is very rewarding to support clients on matters that have a positive impact, including clients who are driving the transition to a more sustainable future.’
She is an exceptionally efficient project manager, which is a trait that greatly benefits our clients, particularly those who use our HiveGC+ arrangement. She also has the knack for building strong relationships with the clients she works with. Ro plays a valuable role by contributing to the life of Hive, our culture and strategic direction by bringing her focus and enthusiasm and finding ways we can learn, be more productive and efficient and provide value and great outcomes to our clients. She is also a generous and supportive mentor to our Early Career Hivesters. Importantly, she has also added to her family along the way!
