Hive assists with establishing the Tom Ashmor Foundation

We recently had the privilege of working with Kate Ashmor to establish and register the Tom Ashmor Foundation as a charity with the Australian Charities and Not for profits Commission (ACNC).  Created to honour the remarkable life of Tom Ashmor, the Tom Ashmor Foundation is built on the values Tom lived by - curiosity, generosity and a belief in the power of education to change lives for the better.  These values now guide the important work of the Tom Ashmor Foundation which is to provide direct support to public schools to fund the purchase of STEM resources that ignite imagination and innovation in young Australians.

The Hive team provided a broad range of advice and assistance, including:

• advice as to the most suitable legal structure for the charity;

• advice as to the ACNC registration process and regulatory requirements;

• assistance with preparing the charity’s charitable purpose, compliant with regulatory requirements; and

• assistance with preparing and lodging the ACNC registration.

Our team is honoured to have played a part in establishing the Tom Ashmor Foundation.  Its purpose is deeply meaningful and strongly aligned with Hive’s own commitment to create, enable and inspire positive impact.  This is what Kate had to say about working with our Hive team:
